Always such a great time speaking with her as a family and hearing of her adventures and the people she meets and is able to come in contact with. She has met people from the Philippines, Ghana, Chile, Tonga, New Zealand.....The food is much better than the MTC. We are grateful for the delicious meals she is receiving and those that prepare the meals for her. She in enjoying spending time with people, looking for opportunities to speak of Christ and His love for others! She had the opportunity to go into London and see some of the sites. It was SUPER busy because it was Christmas Eve.She had the chance to call Christmas Eve and talk with Sumer's side of the family and then Christmas day she had the chance to speak to Buddy's side of the family. She commented how amazed at how fast the time is going by! Dec 15-22

An E-mail from Sage!! (This has the potential to be a very long email, so I will do my best to summarize.) What a week everyone!I know you guys were so worried but I have returned!! This will be my last few days at the MTC and my first few days in the field. Such a change of scenery and pacing but I've had so many great experiences already and seen so many tender mercies that I'm so grateful for! Beginning with the MTC, that Sunday-Tuesday were some of the most spiritually uplifting days! We had an amazing church service with great talks, classes on Monday, and “Chewsday” we did a church history tour seeing all the sights in Preston that were visited during the first mission to England and we had a testimony meeting where almost every missionary spoke! Saying goodbyes to trainers and friends was hard, but I know that God is always with them and that they're going to do so many amazing things on their missions and change so many lives! I will never forget those amazing mi...

From Sage

Sage wrote an e-mail she wanted me to send to everyone!  Hello everyone!      It's been a beautiful (rainy) week over the pond here in Preston, England (we're actually in Chorley but no one really knows nor cares where that is so we just say Preston). I didn't write an email last week (I know it's horrible) because I felt like it would be about 90 pages with how long those days felt. Looking back they went so fast though which is incredible. So knocked out and still in fact, that the lady next to me decided I would be an excellent table to hold her things! I now know if my career options fall through, I have a promising path as an in flight shelf.  The rest of the trip was alright and I got the honor of being pulled by the UK airport security but now I get to avoid the ...

First 2 weeks!

November 25, 2024 Sage began her 18 month mission!  Her first week she was able to stay at home and do some of her Missionary Training. She woke each morning at 6:30.  Sage and her dad did about 30 minutes of exercise,  she ate breakfast, dressed, and began her hour of personal scripture study. At 9am she would join in with other missionaries online so they could learn more about the culture in the UK and do scripture study as a class. From 12-1pm Sage had a break so that she could eat lunch and work on packing. She was able to spend time with her sisters, mom, dad, aunt, grandparents, and cousins throughout the week. Sage joined back online with other missionaries from 1-4pm.  She enjoyed her classes and hearing other peoples insights about scriptures. She would give us a summary during dinner and as we played games together in the evenings.  On week 2,  December 2, Sage began her journey to the UK.  Goodbyes, for long periods of times, are NEVE...
