Jan 27-Feb 3
Another week has gone and I can't believe it! So much happens each day so the weeks really do go by so fast! I'll do my best to remember the good stuff though so enjoy!
Highlights:
☀️ Last P-day was good! We had transfers on Tuesday so we had one last district p day at the chapel where we played games and just hung out! I'm going to miss my first district in the field, but I'm so excited to see where all these missionaries go and the amazing things they'll do!
☀️ We got to serve a member of our ward this week and help with organizing a flat and it was so much fun! I love when we get to do service and it's definitely my favorite moments!
☀️ We met so many amazing people this week and I've been able to be a part of so many amazing lessons! The spirit really does lead each lesson and our plans change each time, but it's always exactly what needs to be discussed and I can truly see the light it brings to peoples lives!
☀️I'm starting a mission recipe book because the members here have to secretly be professional chefs with how good there food us! One of the members stopped by and brought us this Cajun prawn pasta that was amazing and a cheesecake that may have even changed my deeply rooted dislike for cheesecake… it was so good! The members in Enfield are family now and I wouldn't have it any other way!
☀️ ️Fire alarm set off at the chapel during volleyball on Friday… Fire alarms being set off better not be an ongoing theme for my mission.
☀️ We had a dinner appointment that will be one of my all time favorites! I got to go full I-pad kid and we sat on the floor eating pasta and kiwi while watching Mulan! One of the most relaxing dinners ever and we're going over again soon to finish the movie!
☀️We had an activity with the youth where we played bible charades with them! It was so much fun but after some self reflection, I've come to realize that dang I get competitive… (wonder who I get that from.. cough… cough… mom…). I was booking it for the chairs and getting knocked to the floor by my trainer, playing every scene like an Oscar nominee, and disputing calls, but at the end of the day it was so fun! We lost with -5 points for unsportsmanlike conduct (not my fault).
☀️I found my favorite pop tarts (hot fudge sundae) so the week was destined to be good!
☀️ It's. Cold. And. Rains. A. Lot... but it's okay
The best thing though is the lessons we've been having and the spirit I've felt this week. I have truly seen God's hand in our work this week and I know that God's work can't be frustrated! We've seen so many instances this week where we were prompted to be in specific places at specific times and immediately met someone who needed to hear a message. God is truly so aware of each of us and know exactly what we need but also when we need it. I know it's been hard for me to understand God's timing because I tend to be what some would call, impatient, but I truly know in here at exactly the time I'm supposed to be. The people I've met and the experiences I've had could've only happened if I was here at this time and I look forward to all the miracles I continue to see! The miracles don't stop and it's such a blessing to be a part of this work!
So much more I could write about but my hands are cold and I don't know how to use voice to text yet so I'll end it here today. Just remember that you are truly loved by God. He has a plan for you and if you continue taking even the smallest of steps to build a relationship with Him, you will be able to see His hand in your life and recognize all of the miracles! I hope you all have a great week and keep it real ✌️
