"You would say 'you're one of the funniest persons I've met'"- sister Keeler grammar lesson
Here we go again,
Quick one today because I'm in the car wash and I'm going to take a great nap when we get back.
☀️Top golf with the district on Monday! So much fun, I won the second game by chance, and I almost got some bonus points for almost hitting the golf ball collection truck thingy. 10/10
☀️Picnic Park lesson with our friend which was so much fun and he's doing amazing! Hes recently started praying everyday now and he's talking about the noticeable difference he feels in his life now!
☀️Institute on Thursday and got to meet some really amazing people! I also only missed 3 turns, at least 4 ‘aggressive driving’ warnings, and almost killed 1 pigeon so I'm definitely improving…
☀️ Finding with the STLs in The Lexicon (cool name I know), and Weekly Planning in the flat because, in case you didn't know, it rains in England.
☀️Ward Picnic Acticity which was so much fun playing games with everyone and we dipped out early to go scrub-a-dub the baptismal font for Pete's baptism. Little did we know the dirty tiles were only the beginning of our battle. We go in to see a massive wolf spider sitting in the font, perhaps basking in the spirit of God I suppose. Unfortunately his days were numbered as my shoe was too quick for him. I have now learned though that spiders are pack animals because as we pull the drain later, an even bigger spider than the last comes charging out on a mission heading straight for the legs. Sister Keeler, very gracefully, cleared all 4 steps in a single leap while also discovering and producing pitches that cannot be heard by the human ear. With God on my side, I managed to win the battle while Sister Keeler was offering me support from the top steps refusing to come closer. The battle was over, calm swept the land, or so we thought…
☀️ 2 more spiders in the font on Sunday morning… now a practiced professional, we got it done quick and then got to finish setting up for Pete's Baptism!!
Everyone give a warm welcome to brother Pete! He was baptized on Sunday and this man is actually so amazing! He has such an amazing story of how he's got where he is today and I know that he Is going to be a very powerful instrument in the Lord's hands. He surprised us missionaries with little gifts and a card and I feel so honored that God felt I should be a part of his journey!
This work is truly incredible and not only life-changing for the people we meet but for me as well! I am so grateful for all the things I've been learning about my Saviour, this Gospel, and myself. Each day I get to try and work on being a bit better than the day before and I know it's through these daily course corrections, I'm seeing the path in front of me clearer each day! I urge all of you to find all the ways in which you feel the Spirit, and pay attention to them this week! He will help guide us as we make the adjustments needed to stay on course!
Love you all so much and I hope you have a phenomenal fantabulous week!
Touch Grass,
Sister Russell
