"It's not wallpaper, it's silk" -castle worker man

Hear ye, hear ye, another email has arrived. Quiet the wailing, dry the tears, If you've got horses, hold em. I shall begin the recap

☀️Monday was one of the best P-days I think I'll ever have in the mission. Sister Keeler and I took to the road early after errands to, I don't know, just casually head to a massive, gigantic castle that apparently just exists here like the local Walmart… we went to the Windsor castle and as I walked across the grounds and through the 20+ rooms (only half of the tour), I got to feel broke in every way, shape, and form. It was really such a fun place to go and I only got yelled at for taking pictures once (I suppose that's what happens when you miss the no photography sign). I also learned that when your rich enough, you don't have to have the same dining room as your spouse and you can have a carpet that weighs as much as 20 baby elephants. Though who was responsible for weighing all of the baby elephants for comparison, I know not. We got rebuked for commenting on the wallpaper that was not in fact wallpaper, but silk. I made the royal guard man pull a face as I stared him down. Also saw a massive Corgi statue and some ducks so truly a perfect day!
☀️ Picnic with sister Horton, the new service missionary in Bracknell! Started raining and 5 minutes later clear skies and sun.. make it make sense
☀️ Found some pretty cool people and got to share so many messages about the Book of Mormon this week which has been really amazing!
☀️ Thursday was interviews and our mission president asked us to memorize a scripture that is written in our hearts and share it with him. It was incredible to share why this scripture meant so much to me and I'll share it as my spiritual part of this email. (I have to make sure you stick it out to the end)
☀️ Weekly planning in the park with only 5 spiders crawling on me so this was an improvement! We also helped set up for a member's birthday at the chapel
☀️ Garden Service for a member! Soooo much fun pulling up weeds and trimming plants and plus I got to witness one of the biggest spiders I have ever seen and many more that are trying to grow just as big apparently… Sister Keeler only practiced her Opera notes one time when she saw them so I'd say she handled it so well! Unlike how my seized up body took a screenshot when one dropped out of my hair.
☀️Filipino Birthday parties are the only way I will celebrate any milestone from now on. They are so much fun and sister Keeler and I got to participate in the celebration by getting to give a birthday speech about the ‘debutan’. It was such a great time and I'll forever request all celebrations be held In that fashion, chocolate fountain, roasted pig, and all.
☀️Sunday šŸ™ great nap during lunch, wonderful talks given, and visited one of the families we're teaching!

The moment you've waited for, my scripture I shared (I might've used this one in a previous email but i love it so much so here it is again)
 Luke 22:32
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren

I absolutely love this verse because of the reason it was said. Jesus Christ was talking with his apostle Simon Peter on the night before His crucifixion. Peter, who has walked, talked, and followed the Savior for so long, and Jesus Christ was telling him ‘When you're converted’. Conversion is an ongoing process that will last our entire lifetime, no matter how closely we walk to the Savior, we will always be in the process of changing. That's the beautiful message of the Gospel is that we can always be a bit better than we were the day before as long as we keep moving forward. Not even Simon Peter was fully converted yet, but Christ trusted him to move forward and bring others with him and that's what we are called to do as well! Our Savior prays for us and for our faith it won't fail, so don't let it! Hold to the faith, move forward, and see all the signs that follow those who believe!

I love you all so much, thanks for letting me ramble and I hope you've all had the chance to look up gherkins. Have a great week!

Clean your Hairbrush,
   Sister Russell
