"Sister Shaban is the Best" ~ Sister Shaban
I have returned once again to bring the joys of my rambling to your inbox! Feel free to trash this once it reaches you should you have the need to clear your inbox storage! That being said, I have a few extra days to talk about so let the recap commence!
Also… HAPPY NEW YEAR

26th Friday flashback to my time in Bracknell as we had a lunch appointment with the Roy family and I got to see the girls again! It was so much fun and we got to feast on a Danish charcuterie board and see a wonderful live action performance of the K-Pop Demon Hunters by the two girls complete with outfits and a song!
27th Saturday was full of miracles! I met a woman who originally said No to me and that she didn't want to know more but after watching me run around the street for the next 15 minutes talking with everyone, she came back and asked what I was talking to people about! She said how she had been feeling like God had been sending her signs to learn more about Him and she wanted to come to church! It was so amazing and she even brought her family with her as well!
28th Sunday! SISTER RUSSELL RETURNS TO BRACKNELL!!
It was so amazing getting to see everyone again for the service and getting to say hello to everyone! I got to see so many people who have had such an impact on me and Catch them upon my stories! There were some people who had to be away that Sunday, but I still got to catch up a bit over the phone which was such a blessing to me! We then had lunch with Bishop's family and got to try some Iraqi cuisine as his wife made some things for sister Shaban like dogma (?) which is this rice stuff wrapped in grape leaves… it was, as the kids say, pretty good
P-Day we went to terrorize a play ground and were able to successfully misuse every single toy and contraption there. We then went to the chapel to do some sports and play the most chaotic game of volleyball including but not limited toknees touching at all times
no bending the knees
always walking in a crouch
Tuesday was MLC! One of my favorite days of the transfer and we got to greet the new sister who has come into the mission, sister Andrianarivo who is now in Bracknell with sister Wilkinson so the trio is no more!
Wednesday evening was the mission talent show! It was so fun getting to watch and the disclaimer to not try any of the things we watch was needed as I will never see coat hangers the same ever again… (very long story). Stayed up till 12 to celebrate the new year 5 hours before my family so it's cool living in the future I guess

Had such a great lesson with our friend Matthew and a member! Matthew will be a leader in this church, mark my words! We studied together and then immediately spent our lunch hour talking with them and sharing stories! By the way, I love being a missionary!
Fast and testimony sunday was great and so many miracles that came from it! We went to Farnborough after church and met some of the most amazing people including this one man whose wife had passed away from cancer but used to be a member of the church. We were able to talk more about the church with him and it was so special! I am so grateful for this time I have to be a missionary. to be on the other side of the holidays now feels so strange as exactly 1 year ago I was experiencing this for the first time as I came into my first transfer. Being with sister Wilkinson again over Christmas just reminding me how much I've changed and how grateful I am for Jesus Christ who never gave up on me. I feel so blessed to have the knowledge of His restored gospel and to have the opportunity everyday to choose to be an instrument for Him. If you're seeing answers, please ask Him and He will provide! And once you receive your answers, my only question is “what will you do now?”
Have a great day everyone and remember that God loves you!
Don't forget to beat out your rugs,
Sister Russell
