March 30-April 6

 This is the beginning of the final week of the transfer! How?? Or as Sister Byrne would say (Haurw?)


☀️ Monday was a fever dream! We went to a buffet with the elders who were fashionably and hour and a half late, then drove up to the chapel where we played Mo which is now the best card game I've ever played in my life! Finished off by watching one of the elders get shoved into the boot of the car, the another elder getting his foot backed over by the same said car, and the driver proceeding to circle back and drift in the parking lot… how elders live past the age of accountability is beyond me. 

☀️ Tuesday nothing much to report. A lot of home visits and we got to teach this one kid Benny who's so cool! He has come to church twice now and is progressing so well! 

☀️ Wednesday so much glorious time finding as we went to visit one of our referrals! We went to knock on the neighbors door because the woman wasn't home and lo and behold it was a member from church! We were all surprised but it was great getting to see her since she travels a lot so it was a little miracle to see. We also were invited to dinner with a returning member and we got to share a message we had prayed about that was exactly what she needed which was really special 

☀️ Thursday was not super eventful other than cleaning the font and being filled with gratitude that there was a lack of spiders in this one 🙏 

☀️ Friday was utter Chaos… What's new? We went to stevenage to do some planning and finally got to teach the mom of the family we've been having lessons with! We went to lunch with sister hazel and she gave me a porcelain duck 🥹 I am so happy and now Winston (my pet duck) will live on forever. Concluded planning in the flat and rushed home to begin our fast for the solemn assembly which was really amazing! Our calls went very late into the evening, as did our planning, but we survived. 

☀️ Saturday was busy! We went out to see Stevenage and met some really cool people including a member who hasn't been in years who we got to pray with. We then spent the whole day contacting and teaching until the conference and surprise surprise, my mission president, Paul Sinclair has been called as a general authority for the church!! It was so shocking to hear his name and so he will be finishing his time as a mission president at the end of june 🥹 The Sinclairs are such amazing people and I know this calling is inspired by God. I am anxiously awaiting the day he speaks in conference! 

☀️ Easter Sunday! THE LORD IS RISEN! What a beautiful Easter Sunday! We got to catch the train with some of our friends to help them get to the chapel. We got some rain dumped on us but nothing could dampen our spirits because our friend Alex got Baptized!! It was such a special moment especially with it being Easter. Alex got to rise out of the water and start completely fresh! It was such a beautiful thing to witness and it's only because of Jesus Christ and the promise of the resurrection that we are able to have this peace knowing the journey never truly ends. He bore a beautiful testimony of the things he felt and experienced during his baptism and it was so special. After the service, we went to have lunch with the Ribieros and then began the long trek home! Or so we thought… After a couple of minutes on the train with no stops, we came to the striking realization that we had hopped on the express train to London… it took us very far our of our area and zone which is a big no no. We got some funny looks from people as the train was filled with the angelic voices of the tabernacle choir since we had to start watching the conference on the phone but we made it home and finished the evening with the final sessions of the conference.

Seven ways to say goodbye ✌️🥹

 Where to even begin. I never thought this time would come but here I am writing my final email of the mission. I'm going to skip the weekly recap and just talk about 7 things I've learned on my mission that have changed my life.   I am a child of God  this is something that I've always said but never truly felt until I came on my mission. I know that God has created me, I am His daughter, and He is doing everything He can to guide me back home. This is true for each and every person who has ever lived on the earth!   The Atonement of Jesus Christ is real! I can never truly express how deeply I feel about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. His atonement was the single most important thank to ever happen on the earth and we would all be lost if not for Him. He is the creator, the messiah, our advocate, our brother, and our friend.   I'm running out of ideas for how to start these so have a picture of a dog playing the clarinet  Monday was our final district p-day and we went to the chapel to play some games when I learned speed Solitaire. It was good day no further comments at this time. Tuesday I don't remember much other than dinner with Peter Wilkins and it was so much fun! He told us some great stories about his mission in Montana and how he was able to utilize his English Accent for the work by posting flyers around the town about a sermon held by a visitor from England and the whole town came! I don't think I could get away with it, with my barely surviving southern accent over here    Wednesday we went to visit our friend Alan! It was so great and he's trying so hard to change his life which is so amazing to see. We were able to teach him more about God's love for him and it's a little hard for him to accept right now because of different experiences in his life but he's excite...
