Wednesday P-Day?!?!?  Indeed. Don't worry I'm not trunky, we had our zone conference on Monday this week so this is our new p-day.  Here are your updates! Monday sister Byrne and I spent one last p-day in Stevenage! It was great running around Stevenage and getting everything packed and ready for transfers, and by we, I mean I helplessly rolled around aimlessly on the floor and pretended my things would pack themselves until the last possible moment… finished off the day with some great ending and robbing more flowers from nature for my books.  Tuesday was transfers where I parted ways with my mission bebe Sister Byrne and reunited with my dearest Sister Shaban! We got one of the new mission cars to drive so as Ratchet (from the 2005 classic ‘robots’) would say “upgrades people, upgrades”. Back to the blessed land of slough and got right back into the work complete with a warm welcome back to the slough highstreet as I saw a man peeing on the wall of the car park…i...

Sage Russell Mon, Apr 13, 1:26 PM to bcc:  me I want to know where this time has gone…it is transfers once again and I'm trying to find the energy to finish this email while packing. That's right, Sister Russell is moving once again so stay tuned to find out ( yes this is click bait)   Monday was a chill day at the flat. Nothing much to report. We got some Subway and did some shopping. Thank you   Tuesday great finding time, and meeting some really cool people. We drove around to visit a million different referrals, none of which were home, and we concluded the night with an absolutely diabolical dinner appointment at a member's home. The typical dinner is supposed to last an hour and a half and we were there for 2 and a 1/2 hours whoopsie, daisies… we did watch the kid eat and entire tun of ice cream to himself while slowly going more and more pale.   Wednesday we had in person lessons. We met Benny at the campus and had a really good lesson wi...

This is the beginning of the final week of the transfer! How?? Or as Sister Byrne would say (Haurw?)  Monday was a fever dream! We went to a buffet with the elders who were fashionably and hour and a half late, then drove up to the chapel where we played Mo which is now the best card game I've ever played in my life! Finished off by watching one of the elders get shoved into the boot of the car, the another elder getting his foot backed over by the same said car, and the driver proceeding to circle back and drift in the parking lot… how elders live past the age of accountability is beyond me.   Tuesday nothing much to report. A lot of home visits and we got to teach this one kid Benny who's so cool! He has come to church twice now and is progressing so well!   Wednesday so much glorious time finding as we went to visit one of our referrals! We went to knock on the neighbors door because the woman wasn't home and lo and behold it was a member from church! ...

Another one! The Yap Fest begins because I cannot be bothered to type for any more of my mission.  Monday at the Mendoza's! It was so much fun since we got to spend the day with some of my favorite members! Getting to play with their daughter Zoe, watching movies, making dinner with them (pollo chucko) and being taught Honduran dancing while learning that my hips do in fact lie. We also made a mango cheesecake that turned into mango soup with digestives as the center didn't set… We then taught some lessons. And came back home to continue doing the Lord's work  Tuesday was Zone Conference which means I got to drive into London again… the stress it brings me is unreasonable but it was worth it because the conference was so good! We did a good study of Nehemiah 6 and how we must focus on our purpose no matter what distractions arise. Came out of zone conference and got to teach our friend Alex who's getting baptised this Sunday!! Whoop whoop! Pray for him   Wedne...
